Elizabeth lives with her mother, grandmother, and aunt in a three-room wood house with a cemented floor. They have access to electricity and borrow water from their neighbors. The family has an outdoor kitchen that uses firewood for cooking. They have no bathing facility and use a pit latrine that is in a bad condition.
Elizabeth is an only child. Her mother was a teenager when she conceived due to abuse. She dropped out of school to take care of Elizabeth with the help of her mother. Elizabeth’s grandmother is the sole provider for the family. She sells groceries that she is paid for on a commission basis, but her meager income is insufficient to provide for all of the family’s needs.
