Stephen lives with his mother and 3 siblings in a plastered house with electricity and a cement floor. He has two older siblings who live with his grandmother. The family sources water from a borehole. They have an outside kitchen that uses firewood to cook and a pit latrine that is in good condition.
Stephen’s father died 2014 due to HIV. Stephen’s mother also contracted the virus but she is on anti-viral treatment, and is in good health. She works sporadically at casual jobs to provide for her five children.
