Violeta lives with her mother, stepfather and younger brother, Elias (also in the program) in a three-bedroom concrete house with a concrete roof and concrete and dirt floors. She currently shares a bedroom with her brother. The kitchen is in an adobe room separate from the house and the family cooks with wood. They access water from a hose on their property and the bathroom is outdoors.
Violeta’s mother used to live in Mexico City with father, but he abandoned her when she became pregnant with their second child, who, sadly, died of SIDS. She moved back to the Laxopa village where she eventually met Elias’ father. When she got pregnant with Elias, they got married. Violeta’s stepfather has adopted her as his own, and they have a very close relationship. Both of her parents work farming the fields and her mother also cares for the home.

When you sponsor a child, you’re not just providing essentials like nutritious meals, clean water, education, and health care. You’re helping unlock something far greater—their God-given purpose. You’re creating a bond that goes beyond meeting needs, showing them the love of Christ and guiding them toward a future filled with hope.
Select a child to sponsor and step into their journey with an ongoing commitment of at least $38 a month. By doing so, you'll be part of God's plan for their life, providing vital resources like education, meals, and spiritual guidance.
Receive your sponsor kit, complete with your child's detailed profile, photo, and special gifts. Get to know their hopes, dreams, and challenges as you begin a meaningful, life-changing relationship.
Share prayers, encouragement, and love through letters and photos. Your words have the power to shape their faith and future, offering hope and strength as they navigate life. You can even visit your child on a short-term mission trip!
Your sponsorship helps provide for your child’s physical, educational and spiritual needs. These needs are met differently depending on the community your child is in, but include things like:
