Most importantly, by choosing to sponsor your child, you’re helping them discover their true worth and God-given purpose for their life. You can’t put a price tag on that!
We don’t always hear from the children about how sponsorship has changed their lives: Often, they’re shy, embarrassed, or can’t find the words to express their gratitude. But sometimes, we are blessed to get a glimpse into their heart and thoughts. Below is a section of a letter that a sponsor recently received from Allan in Uganda:
“You have been an immense source of strength and courage for me during this tough phase. I cannot thank you enough for ensuring I finish my education without any hurdles. Being a part of a college was just a dream for me until you entered my life. I am the only person in my family to get such an opportunity. Mary lives with her grandparents and three siblings in a three-room wood and plaster house that has electricity. They have an outdoor kitchen and use charcoal for cooking; they buy water from a neighbor’s well that they boil for drinking. The family shares an outdoor communal bathroom facility and pit latrine with neighbors.
