Am I Making a Difference?

Ever wonder if you’re really making an impact in the life of the child you sponsor?

The very fact that your child knows you chose them shows them they are special and that they matter. They know they’re important to you and also to God, you may even be an answer to their prayers.

Impacting Generations with Holistic Care

You’re providing holistic care for your child. This includes education, nutritious meals, spiritual mentorship, health care, tutoring and school tuition, health care, and safe drinking water!

You’re also making an impact on their family. Parents have peace of mind because of you, knowing they’re supported, and their child has their basic needs met. And all of this happens just because you said yes to sponsoring.

A Relationship and Hope

Beyond meeting their critical needs, you have the opportunity to build a priceless personal relationship with your child. You can get to know each other more by writing letters, sending video messages, and visiting them on a mission trip.

Most importantly, by choosing to sponsor your child, you’re helping them discover their true worth and God-given purpose for their life. You can’t put a price tag on that!

Words from a Child

We don’t always hear from the children about how sponsorship has changed their lives: Often, they’re shy, embarrassed, or can’t find the words to express their gratitude. But sometimes, we are blessed to get a glimpse into their heart and thoughts. Below is a section of a letter that a sponsor recently received from Allan in Uganda:

“You have been an immense source of strength and courage for me during this tough phase. I cannot thank you enough for ensuring I finish my education without any hurdles. Being a part of a college was just a dream for me until you entered my life. I am the only person in my family to get such an opportunity. None of this would have been possible without your constant support and guidance. I shall forever be grateful to you.”

Thank you!

Be encouraged! Your sponsorship IS making a difference! Children and families are being given hope for their futures. God is using you to change a child’s life, which then impacts those around them. You may not hear directly from your child of their gratitude and the impact you’ve made, but know that you are a gift. We at Forward Edge are so thankful for you. Words are hard to find to fully express how blessed we are to partner with you as God uses us to change lives for eternity.

So in case you ever wonder… Yes, you are making a significant impact in the life of the child you sponsor just by saying yes to choosing them.

Jollof Rice Recipe from Ghana

Jollof rice is THE signature meal of Ghana. The classic Jollof recipe varies a bit region to region (in fact, Ghana and Nigeria have a friendly ‘rivalry’ over whose jollof is better). It is made using tomatoes, peppers, onions and spices from the region and is often served alongside fish or fufu. In

Bible Story

Whose Bible?

It started with a simple nudge—a last-minute feeling that I was forgetting something important. Rushing through the airport, I couldn’t shake the urge to buy a Bible. I didn’t know why, or who it was for, but I trusted the feeling. A week later, in a small village in Ghana, that Bible found its way into the hands of Talata, a girl who had never heard of Jesus. This is the story of how God’s quiet whispers and a small act of obedience became part of something much bigger than we could have imagined.

Transform a Child's Life Through Sponsorship

Ka wula (hello), my name is Comfort

  • location

    Ghana

  • 21 yrs. old

    08-10-2004

Entered the program: March 2023

Comfort lives with her mother in a house built with mud and roofed with thatch. They have no access to potable water. There is no piped water in the village so the women and girls in the community fetch water from a local dam; once it dries up, they have to walk very long distances to find other sources. This affect their availability to work and attend school regularly.

Comfort’s family is Christian. She lost the father at an early age and her mother is a housewife with no source of income. Before Create Hope, they lived on less than $1 a day and usually one meal a day. Joining the program has enabled her to attend school and have a bicycle to take her the 5 miles each way, every day. As with many girls her age, Comfort misses school when she is having her monthly cycle because she cannot afford to buy a sanitary supplies.

Sponsorship Level What's this?

Three $38 sponsorships are needed to cover the complete holistic care of one child. Cover one, two, or three sponsorships.
