Am I Making a Difference?

Ever wonder if you’re really making an impact in the life of the child you sponsor?

The very fact that your child knows you chose them shows them they are special and that they matter. They know they’re important to you and also to God, you may even be an answer to their prayers.

Impacting Generations with Holistic Care

You’re providing holistic care for your child. This includes education, nutritious meals, spiritual mentorship, health care, tutoring and school tuition, health care, and safe drinking water!

You’re also making an impact on their family. Parents have peace of mind because of you, knowing they’re supported, and their child has their basic needs met. And all of this happens just because you said yes to sponsoring.

A Relationship and Hope

Beyond meeting their critical needs, you have the opportunity to build a priceless personal relationship with your child. You can get to know each other more by writing letters, sending video messages, and visiting them on a mission trip.

Most importantly, by choosing to sponsor your child, you’re helping them discover their true worth and God-given purpose for their life. You can’t put a price tag on that!

Words from a Child

We don’t always hear from the children about how sponsorship has changed their lives: Often, they’re shy, embarrassed, or can’t find the words to express their gratitude. But sometimes, we are blessed to get a glimpse into their heart and thoughts. Below is a section of a letter that a sponsor recently received from Allan in Uganda:

“You have been an immense source of strength and courage for me during this tough phase. I cannot thank you enough for ensuring I finish my education without any hurdles. Being a part of a college was just a dream for me until you entered my life. I am the only person in my family to get such an opportunity. None of this would have been possible without your constant support and guidance. I shall forever be grateful to you.”

Thank you!

Be encouraged! Your sponsorship IS making a difference! Children and families are being given hope for their futures. God is using you to change a child’s life, which then impacts those around them. You may not hear directly from your child of their gratitude and the impact you’ve made, but know that you are a gift. We at Forward Edge are so thankful for you. Words are hard to find to fully express how blessed we are to partner with you as God uses us to change lives for eternity.

So in case you ever wonder… Yes, you are making a significant impact in the life of the child you sponsor just by saying yes to choosing them.

For there are more children to love.

“Sing, barren woman, you who never bore a child; burst into song, shout for joy, you who were never in labor; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband,” says the Lord.   “Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do

Living from Overflow

“Consider this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly,

Get Them Jesus and an Education

In my mind, I can still hear her cries of defeat and see the tears pouring down her face. I can see the “I am stupid” notes she had written on her school worksheets that day.   My precious eight-year-old daughter was fighting to overcome dyscalculia – basically the math version of dyslexia – and we had no idea. It was

Growing Through Trials in 5 Practical Ways

Ka wula (hello), my name is Abdul Rahim

    07-07-2015

Entered the program: March 2023

Abdul Rahim (who goes by Rahim) lives with his parents and two older siblings in a single rented room. They have access to electricity but sometimes live in darkness for many days when their power runs out and they cannot buy more. The community has piped water once a week so the village women must travel long distances in search of other sources.

Rahim’s family is Muslim. His father is unemployed but searches for odd jobs or activities that will help him earn money to provide for his family. His mother takes care of the home and sells locally-made liquid soap, which Create Hope provided training for. The family lives on about $5 a day and the occasional help of friends.

Sponsorship Level What's this?

Three $38 sponsorships are needed to cover the complete holistic care of one child. Cover one, two, or three sponsorships.
