While we fully believe in local charity, we realize the extraordinary power the American dollar has in developing countries across the world. When the average family in an impoverished country lives off $1 a day, you can count on your donation making a world of difference for them. Government support systems we take for granted in the U.S simply do not exist in the countries we serve, so without our programs these children would literally miss meals, school, and an opportunity for a better future.

Sell a Home, Save a Child was founded by Real Estate leaders Nick Shivers and Erik Hatch, who saw firsthand the hardships children face in developing countries. Wanting to create a simple way for the real estate industry to give back, they partnered with Forward Edge International to launch Sell a Home, Save a Child. Since 2016, Sell a Home, Save a Child members have raised over $4.5 million for children in poverty.

Forward Edge’s programs for vulnerable children are located in Cuba, Haiti, Kenya, Mexico, Nicaragua, Uganda, and Ghana. These programs help children trapped in poverty reach their full potential by meeting their basic needs (food, safe water, health care) and empowering them with quality education, vocational training, and spiritual mentorship. Through these children, impoverished communities will experience lasting transformation for generations to come.

Many families in Cuba face resource scarcity, limited opportunities, and an uncertain future. In the face of gang violence, extreme poverty, and a lack of resources, we’re transforming lives in Haiti by providing meals, skills training, and hope for a future beyond the challenges of today. Amid instability, we’re offering opportunity and renewal through practical care and the love of Christ.
Amid extreme poverty and hunger, we serve over 1,000 children in Kenya with meals and education every day. By building homes for single mothers, we are helping families who once struggled to survive create lives filled with hope and opportunities for their children.
Confronting poverty and limited opportunities, we’re transforming lives in Oaxaca by providing children with nutritious meals, access to education, and the encouragement of God’s love. In communities where education is not always valued, we’re transforming lives and sharing God’s love, helping children break free from cycles of poverty and build a brighter future.
Emerging from generational trauma and ethnic division, we’re bringing hope to Kosovo by feeding children and sharing the love of Jesus in communities still rebuilding after war. In a place where ethnic divides run deep, we’re working to heal and unite through education, compassion, and the gospel.
