Aminah lives in one of the largest slums in Uganda and the crime rate is high. She, her mother and four siblings share a single-room house which they rent. The only available latrine is shared by the entire community but only for those who can pay for it; the remainder of the waste is dumped into the drainage system that is next to Aminah's house. Whenever it rains the house floods and the family is left with nowhere to sleep. These conditions pose a serious health risk to the family.
